On Monday afternoon I FINALLY got to re-making my pie (you know, the one I made, and it was too ‘cloyingly sweet’ to quote Chopped). With the help of my aunt and mom, we did it! There was just a teensy bump in the road. Turns out if you’re making peanut butter cookie crust. Ya, need peanut butter… Who knew right? But we did it, and it was amazing!! It was all gone by the end of the night! We also cut it into 12 smaller pieces. Totally
not using the same picture from last time.)
Okay, guys! Here is the long awaited re-do of my pie creation!
1 C. Peanut Butter
1/2 C. Sugar
Mix in a bowl and spread in a pie pan (it may start slipping off the sides, but it should be fine). Bake at 350 (degrees) for 10 min.
1/2 C. melted butter
5 T. cocoa powder
1 t. vanilla
1/2 C. Honey
2/3 C. Milk
Combine all wet ingredients (except butter). Sift in cocoa powder, then add the melted butter. Pour into crust (which probably won’t be cooked ALL the way, which is better). Cover the edges of your pie crust BEFORE sticking whole pie back in the oven. This is to ensure the edges don’t burn. Bake at 375 (degrees) for 40 minutes.
Let cool, and, eat! 😀 Enjoy! Let me know in the comments of you tried it! Or enjoyed it! Well, both. :p Also, any ideas on what to call it. Just chocolate peanut butter pie?? See ya next post! 😀
