The Adventures of Tammy Poe, As Told By L. Finley: Finding Tammy Poe (letter fifteen)

Mr. Poe,

We are leaving tonight. A sympathetic islander told us the reason for the disappearance and eventual leaving (you remember Ms. Poe’s case) was that the person could not handle the way of the island (well the people), and began to rebel.

As I am writing this, I realize that’s not much more information on the reason than I had already figured out by simply observing. Except it’s perfectly reasonable to me, seeing as how I’ve been ‘confined’ here for quite a bit.

It would well, be quite helpful if you would send some help in the event I cannot make it out on my own (it seems very likely, although I am desperately praying for a miracle).

Meanwhile, my new crew members are safe, but I still haven’t been able to receive word from the captain.

This concerns me.

Your servant,

L. Finley
